CAS PORTFOLIO

On 25 February 2018 I had makeup course (I level) with Magdalena Pieczonka. She is my favorite makeup artist. I am very glad that I could participate in her lessons. It enabled me to develop my passions. As I resigned I gave up drawing classes because of insufficient time, those classes let me continue to light this artistic spark. Now the face has become my canvas.

In July during my EF English course I had a great opportunity to visit Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter. Harry Potter is probably my favorite childhood book. Therefore, visiting this museum allowed me to immerse again in the world of magic and fantasy. In addition, I could see behind-the-scenes go the film. I am very interested in cinematography, in particular the process of film making, hence it was a great pleasure for me. I was particularly interested in the makeup aspect, say it combines two things close to my heart - films and make-up.

While I were on my school trip in Gdańsk, I visited many interesting museums that broadened my art and history knowledge: National Museum, II World War Museum and European "Solidarność" Centre. A visit to these museums deepened my knowledge. I changed the perception of Polish history. Personally, I do not like visiting museums related to the Second World War, because I take it too emotionally. However, the form of presenting these stories, surprised me very much and I appreciate it very much. However, the greatest experience was a visit to the Solidarity Museum. This is a period that interests me very much. Many effects are still visible today because these events took place relatively recently. That is why I am very happy that I could get to know them even better, from various sources gathered together.

During my stay in Warsaw, it was an utmost pleasure to visit Museum of Modern Art.   Whenever I am in Warsaw, I try to visit this museum. Every season is another surprising exhibition. It  is not large, but the experience associated with the reception of works by various artists allows one to understand the psyche of others in a certain way. Every artist devotes his time to a certain issue. They have given to it themselves entirety. They effort, character and views are visible at work. This adds a brick to the overall reception of society. I hope that it is not my last visit there and when I will move to Warsaw I will have even more time to appreciate art.  Here is a model of the housing estate project in Lublin.

During my stay in Vilnius for EYP, I managed some time to visit the local museums - art and democracy ones. I could appreciate local artist and get to know the history of Lithuania and how it became the democratic country. To be honest, the interactive museum was better then the art one, although there was a painting of Mickiewicz that is found in every single Polish textbook. The history of Lithuanian democracy is not long. But presentation of it was great. Everyone visiting Vilnius should come and experience it themselves. It was actually very beneficial also for my exams as I gathered more information about influence of EU on Lithuanian citizens that covers some HL topics ;) And a graffiti of Putin and Trump...

For our prom video we decided to do theme short film of our class. I was responsible for the part with High School Musical dance. We were dancing to "Bet on it" singed by Zack Efron. It was great fun to dance to it with the remaking the choreography. One of the last-year high school experiences that I will never forget. The final effect is not the best ever, but definitely makes me laugh and that was a point - to have a pleasant memories o one of the best times of life. I really regret that it is a one time thing. 

As a 3rd graders, my class organized 12th edition of Lublin Model United Nations. I acted as a Security Council Chair for the first time. It was a great experience that improved my communication and leadership skills. I bind my future with management, and managing people more and more often becomes a foundation in such professions. That's why it was a test for me, how I feel in such an environment as a leader. In addition, the topic is discussed about which is being said less and less, and is still tragic in consequences for many people. Media attach less and less attention to events that have already "burned out", but we must remember that a few hundred km from us are still happening. I think that the choice of civil war in Syria as a topic of discussion allowed the delegates to understand how important help and peaceful resolution of conflicts is.
